# Novi Sad in Four Views: the Banovina Palace Tower, Tobacco Wholesaler

Four views of Ujvidek: a boulevard leading to City Hall with a tram in the distance, a busy square where a traffic policeman in white stands before the Holy Trinity column and a row of Historicist buildings, the ribbed tower of the Banovina Palace complex, and a modern building marked with a large letter V near a factory chimney trailing smoke. The card was issued for the Hungarian royal tobacco wholesale concern in the city, a state monopoly that could only operate under Hungarian administration, and the finished Banovina Palace tower rules out the pre-1918 period.
