# Ship mill moored off a willow-planted bank at Novi Sad

A ship mill lies moored off a low bank, the milling house planked and roofed on the inner hull and the paddle wheel hung in the current between it and a second, open hull alongside. Two men stand on the outer deck, one of them in a white shirt, and a painted board is fixed to the white wall of the mill house. The bank behind is pitched with stone and planted with willows, with flat fields beyond, so this mill worked the open river well away from any town landing.
