# Soldiers and a picnic party on the bank

A group photographed on the Danube bank opposite Petrovaradin: a line of soldiers stands along a beached wooden barge at the left, while at the right a party of civilians has arranged itself on the bank, two women in white dresses seated among men in straw boaters and flat caps, one man stripped to the waist, and another lying in the leaves in the foreground holding up a branch. Beyond the water the fortress runs along its ridge and the railway bridge crosses at the right.
