# A Crowded Market Before the Old Church, Novi Sad

A crowded market fills the square before an old church with a clock tower, the Holy Trinity column standing among the stalls, sepia toned in a diamond shaped inset. The caption calls it the old church: the town took it down in the early 1890s to build the Name of Mary Church, so the photograph is older than the card. Another printing of the same view carries a letter written in Novi Sad on 12 June 1899.
