# Market on Kossuth Lajos Street

A postcard of the market on Kossuth Lajos utca, today Zmaj Jovina. Umbrellas and stalls run along the left pavement with a covered market shed at the end of them, carriages wait on the right, and a large painted wall sign opposite reads MENRATH, the furniture business. Two rails run down the middle of the roadway, and the tram opened in September 1911, which is the earliest this can be. A gas lamp is bracketed off the wall above the pavement, and the baroque bell tower with its onion dome closes the view down the street.
