# Map of the fortress

The title block is German and declares the sheet an underground plan, so what is mapped here at 1:4000 is the counter-mine galleries dug beneath the glacis rather than the works standing above them. The galleries are drawn as hatched double lines running out under the outworks towards the Danube and the lower town. Three officers have signed it in ink at the foot, beside a printed legend.
