# Wreckage of the bridge, with Petrovaradin Fortress beyond

A tangle of collapsed girders and ornamental lattice railings fills the foreground, the decorative ironwork identifying this as the road bridge's parapet rather than a plain rail span. Petrovaradin Fortress and a church tower rise along the ridge on the far bank. Dated only 1941.
