# Over the rooftops to the bridge piers

An elevated view over the low roofs, yards and timber stacks of a riverside quarter, across a road and the Danube to Petrovaradin Fortress on its rock. Isolated masonry bridge piers stand in the water with no deck upon them and ice floes run on the river. An arched shed sits among the houses, the trees are bare and a few cars stand on the road below.
