# A Wartime Wooden Trestle Bridge to Petrovaradin, 1942

A plain wooden trestle bridge crosses the water at the left edge of the frame, a simpler structure than the steel truss bridges seen elsewhere in the Petrovaradin views and possibly a wartime replacement for a crossing damaged during the 1941 invasion. Petrovaradin Fortress and its long barracks range are reflected in the still water beyond. The heading, Ujvidék, Pétervárad, appears beneath the photograph.
