# The telegraph pole down the middle

The ward blocks are ranged behind railings under a washed blue sky, with a telegraph pole carrying wires past the front, and the card is hand-coloured. Its caption is in Hungarian and German with no Serbian, which places it before 1918, and both versions call the hospital a municipal one, so it was the town's own institution rather than a state or church foundation.
