# Liberation Square, Cabs Queued Below the Church Spire, 1927

The main square under the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, named on the card in Cyrillic and in Latin as Trg Oslobodjenja, Liberation Square, the name it carried between 1918 and 1941. The neo-Gothic Name of Mary Church rises at the right with tram rails and an overhead wire running past its flank, and a rank of hooded fiacres waits along the kerb with no motor car among them. Pedestrians cross the open square in front of a row of ornate nineteenth-century facades. This copy is dated 3 July 1927.
