# The girls' grammar school

The two printed words are the whole caption, the town at one corner and the school at the other, Hungarian with nothing in Serbian beside it, which is how the occupation years captioned a building that had spent the previous twenty housing a Serbian-named school. The Secession front steps up in shaped gables with vertical window groupings and ironwork balconies over a rusticated base, and a pyramidal roof over the corner carries a metal globe on a spike.
