# The Prince Tomislav Bridge

The main channel is carried on a parabolic bowstring truss and the approach on a balustraded viaduct, and the bridgehead is dressed with a canopied pavilion and tall ornamental lamp standards on swept iron brackets. The water is low enough to leave a wide mud shelf under the piers. The caption is set in both Serbian scripts with no Hungarian or German, which places the card after 1918, and the Serbian word in it means a king's son, so the crossing is named for a prince rather than for any King Thomas.
