# A Rainy Day in Liberty Square, Novi Sad, 1942

A group of men in coats gather under umbrellas on the wet cobblestones of the square, which reflects the tall Gothic Revival cathedral behind them. An old car is parked at the curb, and stacked cafe chairs and tables stand roped off along the right side of the square. The source names the square as Trg Slobode, known before the war as Ferenc Jozsef ter, and identifies the church as the Church of the Name of Mary. It dates the photograph to 1942.
