# River Panorama With Barges Moored Below the Bridge, 1941

A wide river view from a height, a bridge on tall portal towers crossing to a skyline of spires, barges moored along the near bank and smoke rising from a chimney at the water's edge. The bridge stands complete and undamaged. The card is dated 30 April 1941, in the weeks when the Danube bridges at Novi Sad were being destroyed in the fighting, so the photograph likely predates that event.
