# Jelačić Street, Petrovaradin, with Soldiers at the Gateway Arch

A cobbled street inside Petrovaradin Fortress, captioned in Serbian and German as 'Grad Petrovaradin, Festung Peterwardein' and, beneath, 'Jelacicdeva ulica, Jelacic Gasse', the street's two names printed side by side. Wrought-iron balconies front the houses, the street closes on a stone gateway arch, and two soldiers stand at a doorway on the right among a scatter of pedestrians.
