# Four views of the Strand bathing place

A printed card divided into four photographs around a central caption panel. Top left, a timber gateway of heavy squared posts and a lattice head carries lettering across its beam, with bathers and women in summer dresses gathered under it and a low pavilion behind. Top right, an open sided wooden pavilion with a shingled roof and a raised balustraded terrace stands among tall trees, people on its steps and children on the grass. Bottom left, a long shallow pool set in mown lawn with a diving frame at its far end, swimmers in the water and a line of bathers standing along the rope. Bottom right, a crowd packed on the sand beneath the trees, adults in bathing costumes and children at the water's edge, with striped changing huts behind.
