# Kossuth Lajos Street, Close Beneath the Church Tower, 1903

The clock tower and slender spire named in the title stand together down the street, with a shop sign reading Arch Nandor legible at right. A long handwritten message fills the sky, closing with a note about an address on the first floor. The heading renders the street's Hungarian name into Serbian, a form close to Lajosa Kosuta ulica beside Kossuth Lajos-utca, adapted from the Hungarian rather than from the street's present unrelated name, and the city is given here as Нови Сад, Novi Sad, alongside Ujvidék.
