# Petrovaradin Fortress, with a Man Poling a Boat, 1907

A man poles a small boat across calm water in the foreground, with moored boats and a floating walkway near the near bank, and the fortress silhouette with its own small clock tower rising on the hill across the river. The heading gives the fortress's name four times, Hungarian Pétervárad, German Peterwardein and Serbian Cyrillic Петроварадин, beside the city name Ujvidék.
