# The Main Street, Novi Sad, 1900

A produce market fills the near side of the street, with baskets of goods set out on the pavement, a loaded farm wagon and women in aprons and headscarves tending their stalls. The street closes on a church tower in the distance. The heading is trilingual, Ujvidek, Neusatz, and Serbian Новисад beside Hauptstrasse, so Novi Sad's own name appears here in Cyrillic, and a handwritten date beside the title matches the card's May 1900 use.
