# Srpska Trgovačka Banka, King Peter Street

The long fascia carries Srpska trgovačka banka in Cyrillic, a Serbian name on the main street's most prominent frontage in the years just after the change of state. The bank took that name around 1920, having grown out of the Srpska štedionica of 1906, and a 1927 advertisement puts it at Kralja Petra ulica 10, the street's name between the wars and today Zmaj Jovina. A shopfront sits below the fascia and an advertising column stands on the pavement. It is market day at the head of the street, awnings and a crowd filling it, with the Bishop's Palace and the Epiphany Cross before it and the apse of the Cathedral Church closing the view. A policeman with a sabre stands in the roadway, and tram rails curve across the setts with no overhead wire above them.
