# Elizabeth Lake with the Town Beyond

A quiet view across Erzsébet tó, the lake at the edge of town, toward a cluster of houses and a tall church spire on the far bank. No people, vehicles, or boats appear in the frame. The card is captioned in Hungarian and German only, Ujvidék and Neusatz, with no Serbian text. The lake takes its name from Empress Elisabeth, a naming choice from the Austro-Hungarian period of the city.
