# Albus soap factory invoice, Novi Sad, 4 May 1944

Printed Szamla no. 12665 of Albus R.T. Szappangyar (soap factory) of Ujvidek, telegraph address Albusszappan, telephone 21-41. Dated Ujvidek 1944 V.4, issued under a Szappankozpont wartime rationing allocation of 27 April 1944, permit no. 6614/2724/1944 covering a May to August monthly allotment, for three crates, 198 kg gross, of standardized laundry soap at 2.90 Pengo per dozen, sent free on rail to Baja, cash on delivery, total 601 Pengo 30 fillér. Addressed to Ede Pataki, merchant, Kalvaria u. 35, Baja. Bears a revenue stamp and a Fizetve (paid) handstamp dated 4 May 1944; the consumer price panel shows retail prices risen to 76 and 38 fillér.
