# The fortress with a paddle steamer

A small engraved view of Petrovaradin from the water, the barrack range along the rock and the Water Town below. A paddle steamer with a tall funnel lies at the near bank beside a moored sailing barge, a ferry full of people is rowed across at the left, and casks and a tent stand on the shore. The caption is set in Fraktur beneath a ruled frame, in the manner of a plate from a German illustrated book.
