# The Market Town of Kamenitz, by Jakob Alt

Looking across the Danube from the low bank opposite, willows leaning over the water at the left. Sremska Kamenica lies strung along the far shore among orchards, a church tower and spire at the left and a taller spire beside a second tower at the right, with the wooded slopes of Fruška Gora behind. A man in a broad-brimmed hat and long coat stands on the near bank beside a rowboat where a boatman waits at the oars, and a small covered craft is poled downstream at the right. A lithograph from Adolph Kunike's series of Danube views, drawn by Jakob Alt and printed at Vienna in 1826.
