# View from the Danube

The town seen across the Danube from the Syrmian side, a low green bank of trees and cottages in front of it and the water filling the whole foreground. Above the trees the skyline carries the tall spire of the Name of Mary church at the centre, with the domed Orthodox towers, a slim minaret-like chimney and the town hall tower ranged along it. A boathouse and a moored punt sit at the left of the near shore.
