# Thousand-kronen note of the Austro-Hungarian Bank, 1902

A thousand kronen of the Austro-Hungarian Bank, dated Vienna, 2 January 1902, in the blue of the whole issue, with a young woman crowned with flowers in an Art Nouveau frame. The korona had replaced the gulden at two to one, and the bank promises to pay the sum in lawful metal coin at its head offices in Vienna and Budapest. Beside the double-headed eagle the value is given in eight more languages, Serbian among them as “ХИЉАДА КРУНА”, and the National Museum in Kraków's inventory number is pencilled at the top left.
