# Elizabeth Square, the ornate lamp and a tram

An ornate multi-globed lamp standard rises from a small fenced garden in Elisabeth Square, where a horse cart waits and an electric tram passes on the far side. One of the figures gathered by the lamp wears a Red Cross armband. Church towers rise in the distance. The Hungarian and German Erzsebet ter and Elisabeth Platz caption, honoring the Habsburg empress and carrying no Cyrillic, is consistent with the pre-1918 name for this square.
