# Wrecked biplanes inside a bombed hangar at the Novi Sad airfield

Wrecked aircraft fill a brick hangar at the Novi Sad airfield, the clerestory glazing along the top of the wall blown out and the steel roof trusses hanging loose above them. A biplane stands at the left with its wing cell buckled and a painted serial in a white panel on the rudder; the machine in front of it has been opened up to the engine, cylinders and exhaust manifold bare, its wing skin torn back to the ribs. More wreckage is piled along the far wall. The print has a deckle edge and nothing later than the early 1940s appears in it.
