# Amid the Wreckage of the Prince Tomislav Bridge, 1941

The viewer stands amid the tangled wreckage of the road bridge, bent girders and ornamental lattice railings crossing in every direction. Beyond the ruin, Petrovaradin Fortress occupies the hilltop, its clock tower and long barracks building clearly visible above the ramparts.
