# Main Street, Petrovaradin, on a Central Powers wartime postcard

A postcard headed Pétervárad vár, Grad Petrovaradin, Festung Peterwardein and Glavna ulica, Hauptgasse carries three inset portraits of military leaders, one in a fez, at the top of the card. Below, the street view looks down a cobbled lane between two rows of tile-roofed houses converging toward a gated archway in the distance, with pedestrians and handcarts scattered along the roadway. Shopfronts with hanging signs line the ground floors on both sides.
