# Ten-gulden note of the National Bank, Vienna, 1854

Ten gulden of the privileged Austrian National Bank, dated Vienna, 1 July 1854, series Pr, number 354072, designed in part by Johann Nepomuk Geiger. Austria appears at the top with a mural crown and laurel, helmeted heads stand in ovals at both sides, and at the foot the double-headed eagle rises over a globe, tools and a ribbon with the imperial motto “VIRIBUS UNITIS”. An oval at the lower right repeats the value in ten languages, Serbian among them, and the text still promises silver coin of the convention standard.
