# Archduke Joseph August at the Novi Sad Aviation Days

Prominent guests stand on the city's military aviation ground. The uniformed figure near the centre is Archduke Joseph August of Austria, the event's patron. At the far left, his hat marked on the print with a blue cross, is Béla Matkovits, the főispán or Lord Lieutenant of Novi Sad. A woman in a white dress and a wide-brimmed hat stands between them, with other officials, military men and a large crowd behind. The Novi Sad Aviation Days were held on 11 and 12 May 1913, the principal military flying demonstration falling on the second day.
