# Over the square to the church and the Tanurdžić Palace

An elevated view across the main square under a heavy sky. The Name of Mary Church stands at the left with its openwork Gothic spire and clock stage, a small gabled building, the old pharmacy, tucked against its flank. The Holy Trinity column rises from the paving below and to the right of the church, with tram rails curving past it. Beyond, the street runs away between older two storey shopfronts, and the long white mass of the Tanurdžić Palace closes the middle distance on the right, its continuous ribbon windows and rounded corner marking it out from everything around it. The roofs of the old town spread to the horizon and the Danube shows as a pale band at the skyline.
