# War Damage at the Tax Office and Customs House, Novi Sad, 1941

The viewer stands across the street from an ornate corner building whose domed turret has been torn open, exposing roof timbers, with cracked brickwork below and broken windowpanes. Two passersby with umbrellas pause on the pavement to look up at the damage on a wet day. The donor's caption places the building at the corner of Jevrejska and Vase Pelagica streets, identifying it as the tax office and customs house.
