# The platform from the track side

A station name board is fixed to the wall under the eaves of the gable end. The building steps down from a two-storey centre with an oculus in its gable to single-storey wings, all of it under one continuous platform awning carried on cast columns. A low timber fence cross-braced in Xs runs the length of the platform edge with young shrubs set in a row behind it, a cast lamp standard stands out on the flags, and a rake of goods wagons is drawn up at the far end of the tracks.
