# Three-kreuzer numeral stamp of Hungary, 1881

The 3 kreuzer of the Hungarian numeral design introduced on 1 October 1874: the value on an envelope under the Holy Crown, framed by a wreath, with a post horn below and MAGYAR KIR. POSTA, Royal Hungarian Post. Tekniska museet dates this copy 1881, the year the stamps moved to watermarked paper. For more than a quarter of a century the design served the post offices of Újvidék and Pétervárad, and by 1892 that of Kamenica as well, until the kreuzer stamps lost their validity on 30 September 1900.
