# Liberation Square, the Apoteka Pharmacy Corner and the Column, 1941

A tram stands at the junction below a seven-storey building whose rooftop lettering advertises it as supplier to the Royal Court, Kralj. dvor dobavljač, and whose ground floor carries a pharmacy sign, Apoteka, beside an ornate column crowned with statuary. The caption names the square Trg Oslobođenja, Liberation Square, in Serbian, though the card is dated 5 May 1941, weeks into the Hungarian occupation of the city.
