# Fortress gate

Two tall rusticated piers with bulbous stone finials stand where the road passes the crenellated wall, with a pedimented classical gate lodge beside them and a line of stone bollards set along the verge. Uniformed men and a horse cart are gathered at the opening. The caption is Hungarian alone, which puts the card before 1918, and it files the gate under the name of the town on the other bank rather than under the fortress it belongs to.
