# Savings Bank, Liberty Square

The bank's own name is cut across the entablature in Hungarian, and the frame crops it so that what survives reads KI TAKARÉK PÉNZTÁR, the tail of Újvidéki Takarékpénztár. Above that a giant order of columns runs through two floors to a gable with a round window and a pierced parapet cresting, and a small hanging board is fixed to the wall by the corner. Across the street a shop keeps a striped awning out, and boys in caps stand about a handcart on the setts.
