# Two-forint note of the Hungarian government, 1848

Two forints of 1848, issued like the one-forint note through the Hungarian Commercial Bank and signed by Lajos Kossuth as finance minister, with the treasury's chief cashier and the bank's cashier beside him. The value runs down both sides in German and Slovak and, below, in Romanian and in Serbian Cyrillic as “Два форінта”. The crowned arms of Hungary stand at the foot, beside the series JR and a written number.
