# The Trinity column and the square under reconstruction

An elevated view across the main square toward the Town Hall and its tall spire, with the shopfronts and gabled blocks of the far side running away to the right. The carved shaft of the Holy Trinity column rises through the right of the frame, so close to the lens that its figures are soft, and the camera stands almost against it. Tram rails curve across the open paving. In the middle of the square, before the Town Hall, a large rectangle has been opened in the ground with a low block set at its centre, and stakes and a striped marker post stand about the lower left where the surface has been broken up. The square is being rebuilt: the column had been shifted some ten metres toward the Name of Mary Church to clear the ground, and the opened rectangle is the footing going in for the monument to Svetozar Miletić.
