# Children in the Road Outside the Synagogue

Two onion-domed towers stand over arcaded belfry stages on either side of the great arched portal, with a wheel window set in a gable of patterned brickwork above and the community house under its own hipped roof alongside. The whole front is polychrome brick, and a low brick wall with iron railings closes the forecourt. A tram car stands at the end of the street: the synagogue was finished in 1909 and the tram did not begin running until 1911, so the card cannot be earlier than 1911, while the Hungarian and German caption puts it before 1918.
