# The Pontoon Bridge at Petrovaradin, in Silhouette

A long low bridge crosses the Danube in silhouette against the evening sky, with a boat's anchor and prow visible in the foreground and boathouses on the far bank. The postcard's Hungarian and German caption calls it a pontoon bridge, and its publisher, the Hungarian Rotophot Company of Budapest, points to the Austro-Hungarian period.
