# Novi Sad and Petrovaradin Fortress, a Mid-19th-Century Engraving

A detailed steel engraving looks across the Danube from a wooded bluff toward Neusatz on the left bank and the fortress of Peterwardein on the right, linked by a low pontoon bridge with a paddle steamer passing beneath it. Two well-dressed figures stand on the rocks in the foreground. The engraving is signed by the artist Ludwig Rohbock and the engravers Gunkel and Kolb, printed by G. G. Lange in Darmstadt and distributed in Pest by Lauffer and Stolp, and titled in Hungarian and German as Ujvidek and Petervarad, Neusatz and the Fortress Peterwardein.
