# Woman Crossing Franz Joseph Square, 1918

Colour-tinted, the bilingual title reads Ferencz Jozsef ter, Franz Josefs Platz, for the square now called Trg slobode. The Holy Trinity column stands at left with its star finial catching the light, and the corner building at right carries the sign of the Elso Magyar insurance company above a confectioner's shop at street level. A woman in a dark dress crosses the foreground as a horse and cart wait near the column's base.
